The Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) located in the province of Talara, includes the installation of a 102 MW Thermal Electric Cogeneration Plant. This Cogeneration Plant will supply the electricity needs to the new expansion of the refinery and will complement the steam demand required by the process. The design of the Cogeneration Plant considers the generation of electricity using the mass and energy balance of the refinery.

All the design of the PMRT and the Cogeneration Plant was made with the ETAP software.

Electro Integra was hired to perform the Pre-Operational and Operational Study based on the PR-20 process of the COES.
